Review: Miss Taken Series by Cleo Scornavacca

Miss Taken (Miss Taken #1)

Miss Taken (Miss Taken #1)

Love........................The Ultimate Loss of Control

Rain and Raven Medici are identical twins. Although they come from a loving close-knit family their childhoods couldn’t have been more different. Raven went to school and was exposed freely to the outside world. Rain on the other hand was born with a blood disorder and denied many normal childhood experiences.

Once grown, Raven becomes a lawyer at their dad’s firm Kane & Medici in NYC. Rain along with her only childhood friend Tommy Conte, builds a very successful business as professional photographers. Traveling between Europe and Manhattan, and enjoying a world that was kept from her, Rain vows never to be controlled again.

Dominick Kane is a product of his upbringing. He’s powerful, self-assured and knows he can achieve anything he desires. Nothing gets in his way. There is only one thing he has ever failed at. A relationship with his father Vincent Kane. Upon his father’s death, Dominick vows revenge. The events he sets in motion put him on a collision course he himself will be unable to control.

In a bizarre twist of fate, Dominick kidnaps Raven as part of his plan for revenge. Only to discover afterward, he has taken Rain by mistake. Rain knows she can never survive being confined again. So she strikes a bargain with the devil and agrees to help Dominick get back what he feels rightly belongs to him. His father’s share of Kane & Medici.

Dominick decides to use the strong attraction growing between Rain and himself to control her in every way imaginable. Too bad no one ever taught Dominick you can’t control the heart. Nothing could have prepared him for the effect Rain would have on his.

Will this plan of revenge turn into unconditional love? Or will Dominick and Rain’s need for control ultimately destroy them and any possible chance for a real future
together.......

Miss Taken, the first book of Miss Taken series, is a good read.
The way the story started is great.
I love how I was intrigued by the characters and the story.
Being taken against her will because of being mistaken
for her as her twin sister,
Rain met the domineering Dominick.
Rain, an artist who was being protected by her family
because of her illness seeks to
be free so she will go to the place where she can be free
 of her overprotective family.
Dominick, a mysterious guy who kidnapped/taken Rain in assuming
she is the lawyer sister.
As the story goes, things get complicated and secrets will be revealed.
The way the story ended is amazing!
Loved it!
But one thing I don't like about the story is that when Dominick is
revealing things to Rain.. grrr..
But the others, loved it!

Identity (Miss Taken #2)

Identity (Miss Taken, #2)

People aren’t always who you believe them to be.

Dominick Kane and Rain Medici started their relationship with one another in the most unconventional way.

He kidnapped her.

With the kidnapping now behind them, life returns to normal, right?

Not a chance.

The push, the pull and their fights for control that we’ve come to love about Dominick and Rain still exist. And so does their passion.

People aren’t who you think they are. Familiar faces are not so familiar. The past and the present collide, opening up all of those old wounds and struggles once again.

Now, everything you thought you knew, gets blown out of the water.

Can Dominick and Rain finally heal what’s broken? Or will new discoveries push them even further apart.

Will love win out and bring them back together? Or will ghosts of the past ultimately destroy their love once and for all...

that might affect them.

Begin Again, an interesting and somewhat emotional read.
From the start up to the last, I love the story.
The story and the characters are good.
The characters, Maise and Ryan are easy to like.
Maise, a woman who has a past that made her reluctant to
have a relationship and love again.
Ryan, a guy who wants to settle down and have a family of his own.
When Ryan met the lonely Maise, he's determined to make her smile,
but as time goes by, he's determined to know her more and all..
Ms. Christy did an amazing job in making this book full of emotions,
and lessons that may apply in real life.

Review: Fallen (The Fallen Saga, #1) by Emily Clarke

Julie Anderson never wanted to leave her life and friends behind in Connecticut, but when her father gets a new job in Texas she discovers her destiny. When she meets the devilishly fallen angel, Nick Landers, her life begins to unravel. Nick is different from the other boys and seems to have a crush on her. Julie soon learns that Nick has taken an oath never to fall in love with an earthly woman. Despite Nick's unhealthy obsession with her, Julie finds herself falling for him. When Julie's mother is killed in a car wreck, Julie realizes her own life is at risk and only fate will decide whether Nick kills or protects her. Fallen is a work of fiction but it contains relevant and controversial issues facing teenagers and young adults today.

Fallen, an interesting read.
The story and the characters are interesting.
The characters, Nick and Julie are interesting characters.
At first, I was kind of not liking the characters, especially Julie because of how she
dealt with things in life. But as the story goes, she redeemed herself..
Julie, a girl who is going through a teenage phase in which rebellion is common.
She's having an issue about feeling something and with the moving, she will be
trying to cope up and have a fresh start.
Nick, a mysterious guy who captures the interest of Julie.
As the two started to be friends, mysterious things happened to Julie's life.
Things get more complicated when another mysterious guy appeared
and is saying things that made Julie not sure who to trust.
The way the story ended is good.
I'm excited to see what will happen next to Julie!
