Review: Destiny's Second Chance by Kate Vale

Destiny's Second Chance

Bella Campbell, a frightened pregnant teen, is forced to give up her newborn daughter.
Twenty-plus years later, that adopted child gets the surprise of her life when her birth mother, now a
librarian in Evergreen, Washington, contacts her.

Destiny’s adoptive mother is distrustful and tries to discourage a reunion, suspecting Bella has

ulterior motives. Despite her mother’s misgivings, Destiny accepts Bella’s invitation to visit

her so that each can get to know each other. While Bella learns the joys of motherhood, Destiny
begins working in a local bookstore with Bella’s friend, Henry, whose nephew, Gavin Cambridge,
is temporarily overseeing the store. He doesn’t believe the struggling bookstore is worth saving
and, frankly, is more interested in pursuing Bella. But she has a history of failed love affairs and
is especially wary of a long-distance relationship.

Gavin is all about business. Bella is all heart, and not about to give herself away easily—especially to a man whose lifestyle almost guarantees she’ll have to give up her home, her friends,

and her beloved job at the Evergreen Library.

What can Gavin do to change Bella’s mind?

Releases October 20, 2015

One of the best books I've read this year!!!
From the start up to the last, I was hooked on this book!
The story and the characters are great!
The story is about a woman who gave up her daughter
for her to have a life she can't give despite her not
want to give her away and the daughter who will learn on what she
truly wants in life.
The characters, Bella, Destiny and Gavin are amazing.
They are easy to relate with and like.
Bella, a woman who wants to meet the daughter she
gave away years ago. But as the years go by,
she became an independent woman with a kind
heart and an understanding person.
Destiny, a woman who became somewhat rebellious
but an amazing woman who is sweet and wants to make
a life on her own and be independent.
Gavin, a man who I want to punch when I first met him in
the story but as the story goes, I fell in love with him.
He has a bad experience in a relationship that made him
swore off having another one, a mistake.
But when he met Bella, things changed.
As the story goes, these characters will have an
amazing and interesting adventure in their life that will
make you cry, fall in love and laugh.
Ms. Kate nailed it!!!! I'm looking forward to reading more
of her books in the future!

Review: Angel Fallen by Jennifer Leighton

Angel Fallen

When Garon gets the news he’s about to be transferred to a new assignment, his entire world comes crashing down around him, for as a guardian angel, a new charge can only mean one thing.

His Jessie, the girl he’s watched over from the moment of her birth, the human he’d been created to protect, is about to die.

Can he stand by and let her be destroyed? Or will he dare to do the unthinkable.

Dare to fall.

~o0o~

Jessica Martin doesn’t believe in happily ever after. Prince Charming is just a lie bought
by starry-eyed women, and she’s far from that anymore.

No man has ever measured up to the one who lives in her imagination. With no real family,
just temporary ones that came and went, she’s had few constants in her life, but the make-believe friend from her childhood has always been there for her. Always.

Too bad George isn’t real.

So when a mysterious man rescues her from danger, she can’t help but be suspicious.
Her Good Samaritan is blond-haired, blue-eyed, and drop dead gorgeous, the complete embodiment of her perfect man, but he’s more
than what he seems. The strange familiarity in his eyes, his touch…it shouldn’t be there.

What is he hiding?

~o0o~

***This erotic romance is approximately 43,500 words and is a stand-alone. Contains explicit sex/language. For mature readers only.***

 https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/25050243-angel-fallen

Angel Fallen, an interesting and hot read.
The story of this book is about a woman and her guardian angel.
Garron, a guardian angel who fell in love with the woman
who he watched and guard when she's born.
He's not supposed to interfere on her life but when things
get out of hand and he was assigned to watch a new person.
Jessica, Garron's guard, is an independent woman who doesn't believe in
Prince Charming. Nobody measured up to his ideal man, George.
An unexpected thing happened to her and she was rescued by a mysterious
blond-haired, blue-eyed, and drop dead gorgeous man.
Things get more interesting and hot as the story goes.
The mysterious man will reveal things to her that
she can't believe to be true and all.
He knew much about her, to a fact that it bordered to being
stalker-ish and creepy.
Ms. Jennifer did an amazing job in making her debut novel
hot, interesting and full of surprises!

Review: Fragile by Veronica Short

Fragile

They say to keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Whoever said that didn't have a
family. It should be keep your friends close and you family closer. After all its family who
can hurt you the most. I needed change, I needed a new life. Getting a job at a large hospital
in another state was the way to do it. A way to get away from my old life, from the people
who destroyed me. Working at a large hospital was a way to keep busy and to not procrastinate
on my broken life, my old life, and it was working, until I met Rick Harvey. It started out as a
favour for the mother I despised, but turned out to be something so much more that happened
so fast, it knocked me on my ass. All I wanted to do was work my way up in the law firm I
work at, make sure that my father is proud of me and doing well himself and to meet a girl that
wouldn’t break my heart. That was the plan until I met Dr Lucy Jackson, my mother’s favour.
Call her to make sure that she was ok, settled in. When that didn’t work out in the way that I
had hoped, quick and easy, I was asked to go and see her, to make sure that she had all of her
arms and legs. Big mistake. One look and I was a gonna. One look and I could see that she
was fragile. As it turned out our story would be fragile.

They are easy to love and like..
They are also relate-able and to get attached to..
The story, really loved it!!
It's not boring.
It's definitely interesting and fun!!
Love the complexity of the story..
I can easily see and feel the build up of the romance between the characters,
and also the minor characters.

The way the story ended, it's really good.. AMAZING..
And I loved it!
Ms. Veronica really rock my world!!

Review: Southern Charm (Shapeshifter Romance) (Southern Pride, Book Three) by Serena Pettus

Southern Charm (Shapeshifter Romance) (Southern Pride, Book Three) by Serena Pettus

Liam has finally found his destined mate and he couldn’t be happier. The only problem? She seems to want nothing to do with him.

Kitty has pushed him away so many times, and he’s allowed her the space she wants, but now Liam is starting to worry the attraction is one-sided. However, when a few strangers come into town, Kitty’s demeanor changes, and not for the better. She’s edgy, distracted and worst of all she’s scared. This has Liam’s lion jumping to attention with his need to protect her—something he’ll do, regardless of her feelings for him.

Kitty’s past has finally caught up to her, and man, is the timing rotten. She’s finally found her mate, the one man who she can be happy with forever, yet this threat prevents her from going after that happiness and claiming Liam as her own. With danger looming and Liam’s life on the line, she does the only thing she can think of to keep him safe. Kitty goes off the grid.

Out of his mind at the separation, Liam races to her once her location is disclosed. Now is the time she needs him most, but can Liam reach her before things reach a critical level? When the threats lurking nearby suddenly pounce, will Kitty and Liam survive the battle? Will their love?

Warning: Contains alpha-male shifters who will have you longing for a shifter of your own.

Southern Charm, 3rd book of the Southern Pride series, is
an AMAZING and interesting read.
From the start up to the last, I was hooked on this book,
finished it in less than a day!
The story and the characters are amazing.
The characters, Kitty and Liam are easy to like and love.
Kitty, an interesting type of shifter that
can definitely kick-ass and full of sass.
Liam, a lion who is known to be a man-whore, but
things changed when he met Kitty.
But as Liam continues to pursue Kitty,
it seems like Kitty doesn't want anything to do with him.
But as the story goes, people from Kitty's past
will barge in into her life that will cause a shift
to the situation.
I really love this book!
The other characters from the previous books in the series,
will also still be in this book.. =)
Again, Ms. Serena nailed it again!
Can't wait to see who will be the next story will be!

My Serenity (My Clarity#2)

When tragedy strikes, Seth Stewart is forced to return home after the death of his beloved father. Things get even more complicated when her mother returns, as well as her overly possessive ex, who decides to crash into her fragile existence all over again.

Will Seth’s connection for Josefina be strong enough to see past her secrets, or will he realize he can’t rekindle an old flame?

EEEKK!!
This book is amazing!
From the start up to the last, I was hooked!
The characters and the story are amazing!
In this book, the main characters are Seth and Josie.
Seth, Elijah’s best friend (you met Eli on the first book, My Clarity).
He’s an amazing guy that is easy to fall in love
 and has a good personality.
Josie or Josefina, Seth’s young sweetheart who disappeared when then they are young.
When the two met again, sparks fly and the feelings they
thought that is buried, resurfaced.
As the story goes, things get more interesting and unexpected people from
Josie’s life threatens to destroy the chance she got to Seth.
What I love about this book are: I got to see some of the characters from
My Clarity, mainly Elijah and Alex. I also love the banter between
Elijah and Seth, it’s hilarious!!! I was laughing when they are practicing something!
Lol! I fell in love with Eli all over again in this book.
Both of these guys, Eli and Seth are easy to love. I can’t choose between these two...
Can I have them both? Lol..
Ms. Mary nailed it again! Loved it!
One of my favorite reads this year!

Review: Miss Taken Series by Cleo Scornavacca

Miss Taken (Miss Taken #1)

Miss Taken (Miss Taken #1)

Love........................The Ultimate Loss of Control

Rain and Raven Medici are identical twins. Although they come from a loving close-knit family their childhoods couldn’t have been more different. Raven went to school and was exposed freely to the outside world. Rain on the other hand was born with a blood disorder and denied many normal childhood experiences.

Once grown, Raven becomes a lawyer at their dad’s firm Kane & Medici in NYC. Rain along with her only childhood friend Tommy Conte, builds a very successful business as professional photographers. Traveling between Europe and Manhattan, and enjoying a world that was kept from her, Rain vows never to be controlled again.

Dominick Kane is a product of his upbringing. He’s powerful, self-assured and knows he can achieve anything he desires. Nothing gets in his way. There is only one thing he has ever failed at. A relationship with his father Vincent Kane. Upon his father’s death, Dominick vows revenge. The events he sets in motion put him on a collision course he himself will be unable to control.

In a bizarre twist of fate, Dominick kidnaps Raven as part of his plan for revenge. Only to discover afterward, he has taken Rain by mistake. Rain knows she can never survive being confined again. So she strikes a bargain with the devil and agrees to help Dominick get back what he feels rightly belongs to him. His father’s share of Kane & Medici.

Dominick decides to use the strong attraction growing between Rain and himself to control her in every way imaginable. Too bad no one ever taught Dominick you can’t control the heart. Nothing could have prepared him for the effect Rain would have on his.

Will this plan of revenge turn into unconditional love? Or will Dominick and Rain’s need for control ultimately destroy them and any possible chance for a real future
together.......

Miss Taken, the first book of Miss Taken series, is a good read.
The way the story started is great.
I love how I was intrigued by the characters and the story.
Being taken against her will because of being mistaken
for her as her twin sister,
Rain met the domineering Dominick.
Rain, an artist who was being protected by her family
because of her illness seeks to
be free so she will go to the place where she can be free
 of her overprotective family.
Dominick, a mysterious guy who kidnapped/taken Rain in assuming
she is the lawyer sister.
As the story goes, things get complicated and secrets will be revealed.
The way the story ended is amazing!
Loved it!
But one thing I don't like about the story is that when Dominick is
revealing things to Rain.. grrr..
But the others, loved it!

Identity (Miss Taken #2)

Identity (Miss Taken, #2)

People aren’t always who you believe them to be.

Dominick Kane and Rain Medici started their relationship with one another in the most unconventional way.

He kidnapped her.

With the kidnapping now behind them, life returns to normal, right?

Not a chance.

The push, the pull and their fights for control that we’ve come to love about Dominick and Rain still exist. And so does their passion.

People aren’t who you think they are. Familiar faces are not so familiar. The past and the present collide, opening up all of those old wounds and struggles once again.

Now, everything you thought you knew, gets blown out of the water.

Can Dominick and Rain finally heal what’s broken? Or will new discoveries push them even further apart.

Will love win out and bring them back together? Or will ghosts of the past ultimately destroy their love once and for all...

 https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18509211-identity

Identity, second book of Miss Taken series
is an AMAZING read!
The story will start where book one (Miss Taken)) left off..
As the  story continues, Dominick will face
the things that he's afraid of..
losing the woman he loves.
Things will also be revealed.
The past and the present issues will collide..
that might affect them.
Loved it!
The way the story ended is AMAZING!
Loved it!!!
Ms. Cleo nailed it!

**Received a copy in exchange for an honest review**

Begin Again, an interesting and somewhat emotional read.
From the start up to the last, I love the story.
The story and the characters are good.
The characters, Maise and Ryan are easy to like.
Maise, a woman who has a past that made her reluctant to
have a relationship and love again.
Ryan, a guy who wants to settle down and have a family of his own.
When Ryan met the lonely Maise, he's determined to make her smile,
but as time goes by, he's determined to know her more and all..
Ms. Christy did an amazing job in making this book full of emotions,
and lessons that may apply in real life.

Review: Fallen (The Fallen Saga, #1) by Emily Clarke

Julie Anderson never wanted to leave her life and friends behind in Connecticut, but when her father gets a new job in Texas she discovers her destiny. When she meets the devilishly fallen angel, Nick Landers, her life begins to unravel. Nick is different from the other boys and seems to have a crush on her. Julie soon learns that Nick has taken an oath never to fall in love with an earthly woman. Despite Nick's unhealthy obsession with her, Julie finds herself falling for him. When Julie's mother is killed in a car wreck, Julie realizes her own life is at risk and only fate will decide whether Nick kills or protects her. Fallen is a work of fiction but it contains relevant and controversial issues facing teenagers and young adults today.

**Received a copy in exchange for an honest review**

Fallen, an interesting read.
The story and the characters are interesting.
The characters, Nick and Julie are interesting characters.
At first, I was kind of not liking the characters, especially Julie because of how she
dealt with things in life. But as the story goes, she redeemed herself..
Julie, a girl who is going through a teenage phase in which rebellion is common.
She's having an issue about feeling something and with the moving, she will be
trying to cope up and have a fresh start.
Nick, a mysterious guy who captures the interest of Julie.
As the two started to be friends, mysterious things happened to Julie's life.
Things get more complicated when another mysterious guy appeared
and is saying things that made Julie not sure who to trust.
The way the story ended is good.
I'm excited to see what will happen next to Julie!
